( MY STORY )

FROM WAYFINDING TO UX

I'm Katie, a UX/UI designer with a background in experiential graphic design — which is a fancy way of saying I used to help people find their way through physical spaces, and now I do the same thing on screens. I start every project with research and empathy, not assumptions, because the best design solves a real problem for a real person. When I'm not designing, I'm probably out on a run, at a show, or getting outvoted by a husky and two small boys on what's for dinner. Based in Madison, WI — making the internet a little more human, one project at a time.

( Why Work With Me )

What Sets

Me Apart

A background most designers don't have. Years in experiential/wayfinding design — helping strangers navigate physical spaces — translate directly into digital UX.

Research before assumptions. Every project starts with user interviews and empathy work, not guesswork.

Simplicity as a discipline, not a style. Fewer steps, clearer paths — less for people to get lost in.
